Reenactors Group Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requests

Reenactors Group Certificate of Insurance (COI) Requests

When members join The Reenactors Group, then they become listed on The Reenactors Group’s liability insurance policy of $2M per occurrence and $5M aggregate and receive excess medical coverage.  A certificate of insurance, or COI, will be sent to each member via email.  This is something that should be printed and carried at every event.  It carries the member’s insurance information and is proof of insurance.

If a member of The Reenactors Group cannot find the COI sent via email, then we have made it easy to request a duplicate copy.  Our main office maintains a copy or each member’s certificate of insurance, which we can forward to our members.  The Request can be made at the Member Services section of ReenactorsInsurance.com.  Simply complete the requested information, and we will make sure that you get the COI needed to reenact at your event.

Reenactment Boon -American History gets Oscar Nomination

Reenactment Boon -American History gets Oscar Nomination

‘The Reverant’ garnered 12 Oscar nominations today, which includes Best Picture, Director, and Actor.  This movie is based on the true story of 19th century American trapper, Hugh Glass, who was attacked by a grizzly bear and left for dead in the wilderness.  Spotlighting the bravery and determination of the human spirit when faced with danger and death this gripping tale helps to make history come alive.  Here at The Reenactors Group, we are excited to see historical accounts take center stage this year at the Academy Awards.  Not only are historical fictional and non-fictional accounts a great way to potentially learn about our history, but a new group of people become exposed and join us in the excitement we feel when we LIVE HISTORY.

Here is hoping that this movie encourages more people to join us as reenactors in the reenactment field, or come as spectators and supporters.  The success of ‘The Reverant’ is a great chance for us to feel a trickle down of excitement in American history – a chance to come together in appreciation of our shared story.

Reenactor Insurance Coverage Questions Answered

Reenactor Insurance Coverage Questions Answered

Here are some more insurance questions that we brought to our agent, Allison Steeves.  One of the most important questions asked was about The Reenactors Performance Group’s excess medical line of coverage that protects reenactors and historical performers personally.  Many people wrongfully assume that all reenactors insurance covers them personally in the event of an injury.  In fact, general commercial libility typically covers damages they cause to others and property.  The Reenactors Performance Group has taken living history coverage one step further and made sure each member is covered if there is an accident.  This is a unique and VERY IMPORTANT feature of The Reenactors Performance Group’s insurance coverage.
