First and foremost, the mantra of the ACS is “Be a Fan of the Fighter”. In practical terms that means the organization is structured around supporting and enabling our fighters rather than promoting the league at the expense of the fighters. Here’s a couple of key points that we feel are important to that idea.
1 – Our fighters are our most important resource and client, and deserve a professional experience.
2 – Fighters should be encouraged to compete in any organization or venue without concern for discrimination or exclusion. This includes individual fighters, chapters as a whole, and leadership.
3 – We want to earn your support by providing the best possible experience for the fighters and fans
4 – Fun, we want your experience to be fun. We want you to have an experience that will last a life time.

Where you get to release your inner hero. There is not much better than fighters walking around with smiles in their faces after the fights.
Second, the ACS is transparent and accountable in all its decision making. Community engagement is a key part of determining local and regional leadership, tournament and show locations, and selection of national teams to represent us at all international competition venues.
Third, professionalism in how we run events will be the watch-word and hallmark of national-level activities. We are separating out the idea of tournaments(fighter focused events) from the idea of shows/matches, Tournaments are for fighters, shows are for an audience.
Tournaments are focused on giving teams and fighters plenty of opportunities to fight, and enough time do it comfortably. We want the reffing to be clean, consistent, and transparent. It shouldn’t be rushed or cramped.
Shows/ matches are designed to run within a set timeframe of a couple hours, and are meant to bring an audience in and have them cheering and screaming your names. They will be fast paced and meant to display the athletic brutality and technical beauty of our sport.
To achieve these goals, we are making an active effort to get a diverse set of leaders from across the country that represent both the history and the future of the sport. To that end, The Knights Hall in Nashua is partnering with the Warlord Combat Academy in Dallas & Medieval Mayhem In Las Vegas to build the organization.

Cowboy Reenactors to Pirates, Civil War, WWI, WWII, Mountain Men and More

We started as a group of cowboy reenactors and performers in need of insurance for events.  Over time, we realized that strength in numbers was the way to go if we wanted to ensure quality insurance, free additionally insured certificates, and excess personal medical coverage. So what started in the Wild West spread across the country to include any reenactor depicting an historical time period.  There is great camaraderie amongst our fellow reenactors because we have found that despite the time period, we are all committed to history and...
